WHEELING — Wheeling Hospital Inc. has experienced a $6.4 million turnaround since January, Chief Financial Officer Jim Murdy said Thursday, prompting the hospital’s board of directors to approve an $8 million payment on a line of credit.

“I am very happy with the progress of the hospital, and after reading the financial statements, I am sure you are as well,” the Most Rev. Michael J. Bransfield, bishop of the Wheeling-Charleston Diocese and chairman of the hospital’s board, told directors.
